Guoke Rongzhi (GKRZ) turned a naturally occurring magnetotactic bacterium into an industrial platform — and has spent over a decade proving it out with China's leading disease-control and research institutions.
Beijing Guoke Rongzhi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research, development and production of raw materials, reagents and equipment for the biopharmaceutical sector. Its core technology — biologically derived nanocrystalline magnetic beads (BNCM) — is manufactured using synthetic biology rather than traditional chemical synthesis, giving it a single-crystal, single-magnetic-domain structure at a fixed 50 nm particle size.
The company holds more than 80 authorised patents, including 10+ invention patents, and has undertaken multiple provincial- and ministerial-level key research projects with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. All manufacturing is certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.
GKRZ maintains deep collaborations with authoritative national institutions — including the China CDC, China Customs, BGI Genomics and GenScript Biotech — and led the drafting of China's first industry standard for immuno-magnetic bead enrichment technology. A second production base operates in Leshan, Sichuan, and a group company was established in Shenzhen's Pingshan District in 2021.
